On Wednesday, 25 January 2023, at night at 1:40, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 3.47), on a bridge, a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (10 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
