On Saturday, 29 April 2023, in the afternoon at 16:21, in Šilalės district municipality, Biržų Lauko village, on Pilės street near No. 28, an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
