On Wednesday, 3 May 2023, at night at 1:35, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 10.35), a Ford Fiesta registered in Estonia hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Ford (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.49‰ blood alcohol).
