On Saturday, 6 May 2023, at night at around 2:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Birbinčių village, on Birbinčių street, a Volvo XC60 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volvo (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
