On Monday, 15 May 2023, in the evening at 18:55, in Šilalės district municipality, Jakaičių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 239.30), a Ford Fiesta hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Ford (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
