On Monday, 5 June 2023, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Klaipėda, on Budelkiemio street near No. 7, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Bora and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (18 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She was drunk (1.59‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
