On Sunday, 23 July 2023, in the afternoon at 13:49, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Pavenčio street near No. 7, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Jinlun registered in Denmark and a BMW 320D registered in Sweden. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Jinlun, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (0.32‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet.
