On Saturday, 9 September 2023, in the evening at 17:55, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 18.04), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Honda CBR 600 and a Honda. One person was injured — the 20-year-old driver of the Honda (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Honda CBR 600 (6 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
