On Thursday, 7 September 2023, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kaunas, on Ukmergės street near No. 28, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz C 200 CDI and a Volkswagen Multivan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
