On Monday, 6 November 2023, in the evening at 17:22, in Druskininkų municipality, on Veisiejų street near No. 17, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Meriva and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
