On Friday, 17 November 2023, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šiauliai, on Vilniaus street near No. 62, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Crafter and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
