On Wednesday, 29 November 2023, in the morning at 8:45, in Palangos city municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 19.50), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Signum and a Toyota Corolla. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed.
