On Monday, 11 December 2023, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Rietavo municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 259.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Skoda (21 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
