On Thursday, 4 January 2024, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Zarasų district municipality, on the Bradesiai–Dusetos–Daugailiai national road (kilometre 16), a BMW 530 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
