On Saturday, 27 January 2024, in the evening at around 20:00, in Zarasų district municipality, Raistiniškių village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 174), an Opel Insignia Sports Tourer SW hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 31-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 31-year-old pedestrian, who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest).
