On Saturday, 23 March 2024, in the evening at 22:19, in Vilnius, on Dūkštų street near No. 12, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
