On Tuesday, 2 April 2024, in the evening at 17:48, in Kauno district municipality, on Mindaugo street near No. 5, a Toyota Prius ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Toyota (24 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
