On Sunday, 14 April 2024, in the morning at around 10:00, in Joniškio district municipality, on the Joniškis–Linkuva national road (kilometre 4.35), a BMW 330I rolled over. One person was injured — a 43-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
