On Sunday, 21 April 2024, in the evening at around 22:00, in Šiauliai, on Dainavos street near No. 8, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Signum, a Volkswagen CC and a Lexus RX400h. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
