On Wednesday, 1 May 2024, at night at 23:55, in Šiaulių district municipality, Piktuižių village, on Aušros street, a BMW 525I registered in Germany hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.11‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
