On Tuesday, 7 May 2024, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 130.15), a Volvo FH 42T ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volvo (29 years of driving experience), who fell asleep at the wheel. The driver was sober.
