On Tuesday, 7 May 2024, in the evening at around 18:00, in Trakų district municipality, Strakiškių village, on Laimės street near No. 24, a MTZ 50 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the MTZ (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.02‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
