On Friday, 31 May 2024, in the evening at 20:05, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 88), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (7 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober.
