On Sunday, 30 June 2024, in the evening at 22:30, in Kaunas, on Chemijos street near No. 3, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A3 and a Volvo V40. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
