On Monday, 8 July 2024, in the morning at 8:20, in Rokiškio district municipality, on Pandėlio street near No. 2A, at a railway crossing, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Toyota RAV4 and a Scania. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Toyota (34 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.65‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
