On Tuesday, 13 August 2024, in the afternoon at 14:13, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 301), a vehicle hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who violated cargo-transport rules. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
