On Monday, 19 August 2024, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šiauliai, on Pramonės street, at the junction with Išradėjų street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 120 and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.59‰ blood alcohol).
