On Saturday, 24 August 2024, in the evening at 17:01, in Trakų district municipality, on the Senieji Trakai–Senasis Tarpupis–Guopstos regional road (kilometre 3.29), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra-G-Caravan and a e-scooter. One person was injured — the 17-year-old driver of a e-scooter (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (0.44‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
