On Tuesday, 27 August 2024, at night at 1:49, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 25.50), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Toyota RAV4 registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Audi, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
