On Monday, 2 September 2024, in the morning at around 10:00, in Šiauliai, on Gardino street near No. 4, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C4 and a Suzuki Ignis. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.89‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
