On Sunday, 1 September 2024, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Vilnius, on P. Žadeikos street near No. 22, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 2 and a Renault Megane. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
