On Sunday, 15 September 2024, in the evening at around 18:00, in Utenos district municipality, on Taikos street near No. 38, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Seat Leon and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Seat (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
