On Sunday, 29 September 2024, in the afternoon at 15:35, in Panevėžio district municipality, Daukniūnų village, on Kapinės street, at the junction with Linonių street, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
