On Saturday, 2 November 2024, in the evening at 19:20, in Kupiškio district municipality, Šaukliškių village, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 80.70), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D and a BMW 118D registered in Great Britain. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW 530 D (3 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober.
