On Saturday, 9 August 2025, in the afternoon at 11:35, in Kauno district municipality, Giraitės village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 104.80), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz, a Toyota Corolla Verso, a Toyota Yaris and an Audi Q5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober.
