On Sunday, 14 September 2025, in the evening at 17:15, in Skuodo district municipality, on the Skuodas–Plungė national road (kilometre 15.10), a collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320 and a Jeep Cherokee. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (6 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
