On Friday, 12 October 2012, in the afternoon at 16:55, in Ukmergės district municipality, on Antakalnio street, at the junction with Laukų street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Primera and a Volvo V70XC. Three people were injured — a 51-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient), a 8-year-old passenger of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 5-year-old passenger of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Nissan (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
