On Thursday, 4 April 2013, in the morning at around 10:00, in Kaunas, on Maisto street, at the junction with Erdvės street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Touran and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (26 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
