On Sunday, 26 May 2013, in the evening at 18:31, in Anykščių district municipality, on K. Būgos street, at the junction with Birutės street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Suzuki DR 125 registered in Great Britain and a Volkswagen Transporter. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Suzuki (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to give way when changing direction and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
