Volkswagen hits a pedestrian on the Salamiestis–Alizava–Kupreliškis–Galintiškis road
On Monday, 10 June 2013, in the afternoon at 15:28, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Salamiestis–Alizava–Kupreliškis–Galintiškis regional road (kilometre 9.05), a Volkswagen Caddy hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 83-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (22 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. The driver was sober.
