On Monday, 10 June 2013, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Kaunas, on Totorių street near No. 2/2, an Audi 80 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 46-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
