On Thursday, 15 August 2013, at night at 23:53, in Šakių district municipality, on Tilto street, at the junction with Dariaus ir Girėno street, a BMW 528 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.20‰ blood alcohol).
