On Monday, 26 August 2013, in the evening at 19:30, in Klaipėda, on Budelkiemio street near No. 19, a Toyota Avensis hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. Two people were injured — a 9-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 10-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by a 9-year-old pedestrian, who committed sudden emergence from behind a vehicle, tree, etc.. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
