On Monday, 2 September 2013, in the evening at 20:19, in Kaunas, on S. Daukanto street near No. 10, a Buick Park Avenue hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 50-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Buick (1 year of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
