On Saturday, 14 September 2013, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on Šviesos street near No. 13, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a motorcycle and a Renault Megane II. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of a motorcycle, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
