On Thursday, 19 September 2013, in the afternoon at 14:01, in Vilnius, on A. Jakšto street, at the junction with Šermukšnių street, a Ford Mondeo hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. Two people were injured — a 37-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 56-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Ford (15 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
