Hit-and-run Mercedes-Benz truck driver and two other cars crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Monday, 21 October 2013, in the afternoon at 14:44, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 89), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz Actros, a Mazda CX-9 and a Wielton PC2SP. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
