On Wednesday, 6 November 2013, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kauno district municipality, Šlienavos village, on Marių street, at the junction with J. Biliūno street, a Citroen ZX hit an obstacle. One person was injured — a 48-year-old passenger of the Citroen (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.60‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
