On Tuesday, 10 December 2013, at night at around 4:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 102.50), a Mercedes-Benz Actros 1844 LS registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (a citizen of Belarus) (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
