On Wednesday, 11 December 2013, in the evening at 19:11, in Radviliškio district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Vasario 16-osios street, an Audi 80 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 54-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 57-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi (16 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
